Preview: Mantova-Reggina

Finally.. less than 24 hours until kickoff between Reggina and Mantova. It feels like the season hasn’t even started yet. There have been some surprises so far in Serie B, but it’s hard to get the bigger picture with so many teams still having a game or two in hand. A win tomorrow could essentially jump us right back to the top of the table. Mantova, expected by most to avoid relegation, is still searching for their first league win and will have the support of their home fans as they host Reggina tomorrow.
As far as absences go, Santos and Costa have almost fully recovered from their injuries but will still be held out this weekend. Nicolas Viola will also be absent. Viola is the week 1 hero who came on as a substitute to score the winning goal at Cesena. I don’t think he’s injured but it could be related to our overcrowded midfield. New midfield signing Piermario Morosini could make his Amaranto debut if brought on. Morosini has chosen #25 for his shirt.
19 players are going to make the trip to the Stadio Danilo Martelli. They are as follows: Barillà , Bonazzoli, Brienza, Buscè, Cacia, Camilleri, Capelli, Carmona, Cascione, Cassano, Lanzaro, Marino, Missiroli, Morosini, Pagano, Rizzato, Valdez, A. Viola, Volpi.
Listen… what can I say about this team. Haven’t really gotten to watch them and we’ve only played two matches. I think we are capable of seeing off Mantova, despite being on the road, but who knows. It’s going be another challenge to watch the match tomorrow. I will be tuned into the Serie B direct goal cast for sure and hopefully it will show the important action. I’m sure that Reggina is anxious to get out there and play, but the players could be a little rusty. I’m still going to predict a 3-2 victory in favor of Reggina, with Bonazzoli getting on the scoresheet at least once. And I am 100% (4/4) this season in my calcio predictions. My co-worker is betting on matches based on my recommendations and he hasn’t lost yet. I told him to put money on Reggina to win, so hopefully I didn’t jinx anything.
See you all tomorrow!
